LRRWMO Meeting Minutes • <br />May 16, 1996 <br />Page 4 <br />Schultz pointed out the executive summary was received just today from SEH and each member City <br />Council still needs to approve it. <br />Motion by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to authorize the Plan update review by Barr <br />Engineering at a cost not to exceed $2,000 (time and expense) and request the review be <br />completed within 30 days, by June 15, 1996, and to request a 60 day extension for Ptan <br />submission (August 1,1996) from BWSR <br />Weaver asked if members have any points of concern. Jankowski stated he has several areas of <br />concern and while Barr Engineering needs to review the entire Plan, the primary review focus should <br />be on the implementation section. <br />Review RFP's for Legal and En~neerine Services <br />The LRRWMO reviewed the alphabetical recap of RFP's. Jankowski suggested the proposals be <br />divided between members with review taking place prior to the next meeting with a recommendation. <br />He offered to review the engineering RFP's and asked Weaver if he would review the legal RFP's. • <br />Weaver stated he would but believes Curt Pearson has provided excellent service since the <br />LRRWMO's inception. <br />Motion by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to approve the proposal of Kennedy & Graven for legal <br />services for fiscal years 1997 and 1998. Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />Jankowski stated he has been satisfied with services provided by Barr Engineering; however, feels <br />it would be appropriate to review all engineering proposals submitted. <br />PAYMENT OF BII..LS <br />Knutson presented the payment of bills for Timesaver for $385.86, Barr Engineering for $362.57 <br />(100% for permit review), SEH for $1,228.68 (March) and $334.29 (February), Bruce Siegfried, <br />CPA (annual audit) for $750, Minnesota Bookstore (RFP publishing) for $37.00, ABC Newspapers <br />(legal notice) for $17.92., and City of Anoka (February-April, 1996) for $141.74. <br />Knutson advised the total unpaid balance on the original contract for the Plan update is $2,600. <br />Regarding the annual audit, he explained that due to a disagreement with a new partner the auditor <br />decided to leave the fima and do the LRRWMO audit on his own. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to authorize payment to Timesaver for • <br />$385.86, Barr Engineering for $362.57, Bruce Siegfried for $750, Minnesota Bookstore for <br />$37.00, ABC Newspapers for $17.92, and City of Anoka for $141.74. Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Motion carried. <br />
