In those cases where it is not possible or feasible to attain a <br />95% wind coverage with a single runway for a 10.5 knot or 12 MPH <br />crosswind component, it may be determined that the benefits from <br />a crosswind or secondary runway will justify its construction. <br />The crosswind runway should be at least 80% of the length required <br />for the primary runway or a minimum length of 2640 feet in this <br />instance. This length should accommodate the average small air- <br />plane for both landing and takeoff when the crosswind component <br />of the primary runway exceeds 10.5 knots or 12 MPH. <br />14 <br />
