Master plan projections <br />indicau this number may increase to 80 by 2010, including three turbo jets. In 1989, <br />there were approximately 35,000 annual operations. By 2010, the maser plan <br />indicates that more than 55,000 annual operations can be expected. Turbojet <br />operations will increase from 900 operations to an estimated 2,280 by the end of the <br />planning period, according to the master plan. <br />. Buffalo Municipal could attract some of the locally generated demand <br />antiapated for a new airport is Search Area "A." This airport would, however, <br />provide a very limited alurnative to aircraft wishing to land at Minneapolis-St. Paul <br />laurnational. Therefore, it is recommended that this airport's development follow <br />master plan recommendations tohelpaccommodate excess demand in the region that <br />rnuld go unnerved if a parallel runway at Anoka County-Blaine or a new general <br />aviadoa airport in Search Area "A" are not developed <br />18. SUMMARY <br />The recommended reliever airport system includes the seven existing relievers with <br />the addition of three key system improvements. These three major improvements include: <br />Enhance Anoka County-Blaine with the addition of a parallel runway and <br />ATCT <br />Develop a new general aviation airport in Search Area "A" <br />V 110 <br />
