It may also include such items as bond actions, <br />action by the community or citizen groups pertinent to the proposal, or any <br />other unique factors associated with the project which do not properly belong <br />in another section of the document. The Affected Environment section of the <br />environmental assessment includes:. <br />(1) A location map, vicinity map, and airport layout plan. <br />(2) Existing and planned land uses and zoning in the affected airport <br />vicinity, including affected residential areas, public parks, wildlife and <br />waterfowl refuges, wetlands, floodplains, farmlands, coastal zones, recreation <br />areas, and historic facilities and archeological sites. <br />(3) Nearby schools and places of public assembly, hospitals, shopping <br />areas, and adjacent political jurisdictions affected by the proposed development. <br />(4) Population, industrial and commercial growth characteristics, <br />and assumptions used to justify the project and determine secondary impacts <br />only if these are relevant to the proposal. <br />(5) Any contemplated future actions, including facility installations <br />and procedural actions, which have not been included in the Alternatives <br />section and which should be described to show their relationship to the <br />proposal and to show the sponsor's intentions regarding their environmental <br />assessment and development. <br />(6) Other planned and developed activities in the affected area <br />(e.g., highways and other transportation projects, housing development and <br />relocation, etc.) which are interrelated to the proposal and/or which would <br />produce cumulative impacts. <br />e. Environmental Consequences - Specific Impact Categories. A brief <br />examination of each of the applicable potential impact areas below shall be <br />done and documented to determine if the impact may be significant. During the <br />environmental assessment process, required specific consultation such as <br />historic and cultural resource consultation with the State Historic Preservation <br />Officer shall be accomplished. For the proposed action and reasonable <br />alternatives, including the no action alternative, each of the following <br />applicable impact categories shall be systematically examined. <br />(1) Noise. <br />(a) No noise analysis is needed for proposals involving utility <br />or basic transport type airports whose forecast operations in the period <br />covered by the environmental assessment do not exceed 90,000 annual adjusted <br />propeller operations or 700 annual adjusted jet operations ("adjusted" as <br />defined in Report No. FAA-AS-75-1, Developing Noise Exposure Contours for <br />General Aviation Airports).
