ments, the combined total of which may not ex- <br />ceed $15,000, for the following items: <br />(1) The additional costs necessary to purchase <br />replacement housing as described in subpara- <br />graphs c, d, and e below and in accordance <br />with the principles described in paragraph <br />92b. <br />(2) An amount as determined to compensate the <br />displaced owner for the loss of favorable fi- <br />nancing on the existing mortgage in the <br />financing of such replacement housing under <br />guides described in paragraph 92c. A con- <br />ventional loan on a mobile home would be <br />the type common to a particular area. This <br />could include a chattel mortgage, conditional <br />sales contract or any instrument where con. <br />tract interest is required to be paid. <br />(3) An amount to reimburse the owner for in- <br />cidental expenses incident to the purchase <br />of such replacement housing under guides <br />outlined in paragraph 92d. In addition to <br />those items listed, the incidental expenses may <br />include items such as licenses, transportation, <br />and set-up costs. <br />b. Rent Supplement. A displaced owner -occupant <br />of a mobile home eligible for a replacement hous- <br />ing payment as described above who elects to rent <br />is eligible for a rent supplement, not to exceed <br />$4,000. Such payments may be computed and dis- <br />bursed in accordance with the methods described <br />in paragraph 96 b, c, and d. <br />c. Acquisition of Mobile Home and Site. The <br />owner -occupant may be reimbursed for the follow- <br />ing: <br />(1) A replacement housing payment will be the <br />amount, if any, when added to the amount <br />for which the Sponsor acquired the displaced <br />person's mobile home and site, equals the <br />lesser of: <br />(a) The amount the owner is required to <br />pay for a decent, safe, and sanitary <br />conventional dwelling or a decent, <br />safe, and sanitary replacement mobile <br />home and site; or <br />(b) The amount determined by the Spon- <br />sor as necessary to purchase a com- <br />parable mobile home and site in ac- <br />cordance with the guides outlined in <br />paragraph 92b. <br />(2) If the owner elects to rent, the rental replace- <br />ment housing payment will be 48 times the <br />monthly difference between the economic <br />66 <br />rent of the subject mobile home and site <br />and the lesser of : <br />(a) The actual rent paid for the replace- <br />ment mobile home and site; or <br />(b) The amount the Sponsor has deter- <br />mined as necessary to rent a compar- <br />able mobile home and site. <br />d. Acquisition of Site Only Upon acquisition <br />of the site, but not the mobile home also owned and <br />occupied by the owner of such site, the following <br />optional payments may be made <br />(1) The replacement housing payment will be <br />the amount, if any, when added to the <br />amount for which the Sponsor acquired the <br />owner -occupant's mobile home site equals <br />the lesser of: <br />(a) The amount the owner is required to <br />pay for a comparable site; or <br />(b) The amount determined by the Spon- <br />sor as necessary to purchase a com- <br />parable mobile home site. <br />(c) In addition, if the displaced person's <br />mobile home is not decent, safe, and <br />sanitary and can be moved but can- <br />not be acquired under State law, he <br />is entitled to all replacement housing <br />payments as if the mobile home were <br />being acquired. The amount deter- <br />mined by the Sponsor as the trade-in <br />value of the displaced person's mobile <br />home on a comparable mobile home <br />will be used instead of "acquisition <br />cost." To be eligi )le for the replace- <br />ment housing payment, the displaced <br />person must relocate to a decent, safe, <br />and sanitary mobile home or other <br />living unit; hoWever, the mobile <br />home remains the property of the <br />displaced person. <br />(d) If the displaced poison's mobile home <br />cannot be acquired under State law <br />and cannot be moved without sub- <br />stantial damage or unreasonable cost, <br />he is entitled to al replacement hous- <br />ing payments as ' the mobile home <br />were being acquired. The amount de- <br />termined by the Sponsor as salvage <br />value of the mo'billle home will be used <br />instead of "acquisition cost." <br />If a mobile home is personal prop- <br />erty, is decent, safe, and sanitary, and <br />can be moved but cannot be acquired <br />(e) <br />• <br />Ns- <br />c <br />1 <br />
