4. Faribault Municipal Airport <br />(The City of Faribault owns this public -use airport) It is located two <br />miles northwest of the city on Highway 21. The airport covers 100 acres <br />and has one 4,200- by 75-foot paved runway (12/30). Faribault Municipal <br />Airport is classified as a(General Utility airport.) <br />5. Forest Lake Airport <br />Forest Lake rport, located southeast of Forest Lake, Minnesota, is <br />a(privately owned)aaiirport with a turf runway. The airport is located in a <br />farming community with room for future expansion if needed. Currently, <br />there is one 2,575- by 145-foot turf runway (13/31). The airport covers <br />2991 acres and is served by Scandia Trail Road. This airport is classified <br />as`Basic Utility)facility. <br />6. Gateway North Industrial Airport <br />Gateway North Industrial Airport, located near the City of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota, is privately owned by Gateway Industrial Park, Inc., and is <br />also sponsored by the City of Ramsey. The airport was opened in 1972 <br />by a group of local business people to promote industrial growth in the <br />area. Primary access to the airport is Ramsey Boulevard. The airport is <br />surrounded by mixed land use that is punctuated by a landfill site to the <br />north of the airfield. Gateway North Industrial is identified as a 'Basic <br />Utility facility) It has two dirt runways, one is 2,365- by 130-foot <br />(9/27), the other is 2,500- by 135-foot (16/34). Currently, the airport is <br />home to Anoka Vocational Technical Institute, which teaches air traffic <br />control and dispatch programs. <br />7. Glencoe Municipal Airport <br />Glencoe Municipal Airport is owned by the(City of Glencoe.) It is <br />located three miles southeast of the city. Access to the airport is <br />provided by Highway 212. Glencoe Municipal has a 3,420- by 150-foot <br />turf runway (12/30). The airport is not included by the FAA in the <br />NPIAS. <br />8. LeSueur <br />This airport is owned by the (City of LeSueur.) It is located one <br />mile south of the city on Highway 112. LeSueur Municipal Airport has a <br />3,000- by 75-foot paved Runway (13/31). It is situated on 120 acres. <br />The airport is classified as (Basic Utility airport.) <br />9. Maple Lake Municipal Airport <br />Maple Lake Municipal Airport is owned by the(City of Maple Lake) <br />It is approximately 1.5 miles northeast of the City. It is a publicly <br />owned facility with an asphalt runway and a seaplane lane. The paved <br />tunway is 2,700- by 60-foot (10/28). The facility is classified as a <br />(General Utility airport.)
