10. New Richmond Municipal Airport <br />New Richmond Municipal Airport is owned by the (.City of New <br />Richmond. The airport is classified as a General Utility airport. It is <br />located two miles north of the city and is open to the public. The <br />airport has a 3,000- by 75-foot paved Runway (13/31) and a 2,100- by 75- <br />foot turf runway. Access to the airport is via Route 65. <br />11. Osceola Airport <br />L.O. Simenstad Municipal is owned by th( City of Osceola. It is <br />located in the southeastern part of the city and access to the ort is <br />provided by State Route 35. It has a 3,000- by 75-foot paved Runway <br />10/28 and a 2,240-by-165-foot turf Runway (4/22). L.O. Simenstad is a <br />l General Utility facility.) <br />12. Stanton (Carleton Airport) <br />Carleton Airport is a (privately owned facility.) It is located within <br />the unincorporated village of Stanton, at the intersection of Highways 19 <br />and 56. It covers 156 acres. The airport has two sod runways, 2,560-by <br />300-foot Runway 18/36 and 2,000- by 300-foot Runway (9/27). It is <br />classified as a Basic Utility airport. <br />13. Winsted Municipal Airport <br />This airport is owned by the(City of Winsted� It is located one mile <br />southwest of the city, off Highwa 261. It has 3,2�45-by 200-foot sod <br />Runway (9/27). It is classified as a(Basic Utility airport. <br />(4) Proposed Aviation Facilities <br />In anticipation of growing demand for general aviation facilities, two <br />locations have been identified as potential sites for proposed new general <br />aviation airports. These areas include Waconia/Carver County and Metropolitan <br />Council Airport Search Area Site A (see Exhibit I-13). Inclusion of proposed <br />sites in this document or the NPIAS does not necessarily indicate that an <br />airport will be built. <br />1. Waconia/Carver County <br />Of the proposed airport sites in the region, the only development <br />activity being pursued, at this time, is in Carver County. An airport <br />feasibility study was prepared by the Carver County Board of <br />
