BOX 1700 <br />• TWIN CITY AIRPORT <br />OFFICE OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR • <br />December 14, 1971 <br />Mr. Ray Brown <br />Aviation Representative <br />State Department of Aeronautics <br />Saint Paul Downtown Airport <br />Saint Paul, Minnesota 55107 <br />Re: Privately -owned airports <br />Dear Mr. Brown: <br />The following requests <br />viewed: <br />(1) <br />• MINNESOTA 55111 <br />PHONE (612) 726-5770 <br />for privately -owned airports have <br />been re - <br />Anoka Industrial Park, Inc. for a privately -owned public <br />airport to be known as "Anoka Industrial Airport" and <br />located approximately 10 miles northwest of Anoka County <br />Airport. <br />(2) Mr. Donald Haugo, 224 Mission Circle, Bloomington, for a <br />"personal use" landing strip approximately2 3/4 miles south of <br />the Airlake Industrial Park Airport. <br />These requests were also considered and approved by the Commission <br />at its regular meeting of December 6, 1971. It is the purpose of <br />this letter to advise that this office will interpose no objections <br />to the operation of such privately -owned airports at the stated <br />locations providing there is no operational interference with the <br />MAC system. However, approval is further conditioned on the pro- <br />vision that the "Anoka Industrial Airport" be limited to VFR opera- <br />tions only. <br />This Commission wishes to reserve the right to request that in the <br />event the operators of these airports should apply for another <br />classification of license, the Commission be given the opportunity <br />by your office to review such applications and proposals. <br />Very truly yours, <br />R.
