The FAA objects to this proposal because it is considered a potential hazard
to aviation. Based on FAA Order 5200.5, (FAA Guidance Concerning Sanitary
Landfills on or Near Airport), the vertical expansion to the existing
landfill may create high risk conditions in the take -off, climb -out,
approach and landing areas on or in the vicinity of this Public -Use airport.
The sanitary landfill is considered an incompatible use per paragraph 5,
criteria, of Order 5200.5, since it is located within 5000 feet of Runway
9/27.
We will suspend our study pending full resblution of the adverse/objection-
able effects as described above. If you have any questions or need
additional information, contact FAA at (312) 694-7570.
In any future correspondence, refer to Aeronautical Study No. 89-AGL-2415-
OE.
Page 2 of 2 pages
Aeronautical Study No. 89-AGL-2415-OE
