REcErveD
JAN23199©
Dear Mayor Reimann & Council Members,
It is our understanding that the State of Minnesota is willing to commit
funds for starting the acquistion of the property at Gateway North Airport.
Gateway North Airport has served the community for many years in business,
education and recreation. We owe Gateway some careful consideration in the
decision you may have to make in the future.
The big question has been misrepresented many times and confusion is common
place. The issue is insuring the improvement of the existing facility. An
improved facility is not an enlaged facility and that is part of the confusion.
The improved runway will offer a much higher degree of safety and visibility,
for both business and recreational aircraft.
All the studys have shown that the improvement to the airport will be an
econmic benfit to the community; not to mention the possibility of retarding
the siteing of any more landfills in Ramsey.
We urge your knowledgeable consideration in the improvement of Gateway North
Airport.
Here is a list of people who believe that the airport should be improved
for business, educational or recreational purposes.
Thank you
