Hakanson
Anderson
Assoc., Inc.
June 20, 1989
Mr. Richard Theisen
Environmental Coordinator
Mn/DOT, Division of Aeronautics
Room 417, Transportation Bldg.
St. Paul, MN 55155
Engineers, Surveyors 8.
Landscape Architects
Re: Gateway North Industrial Airport - Ramsey, Minnesota
Final Environmental Assessment Document
Dear Mr. Theisen:
We are herein transmitting two copies of the revised final document
based on FAA review comments. We have transmitted. 15 copies
directly to Glen Orcutt and FAA per our discussion.
The revisions to the draft EID are based on FAA comments expressed
by Mr. Orcutt's letter of March 28, 1989 to you. Appropriate
clarifications have been made in the text.
Regarding wetland impacts and coordination with USFWS, we
originally contacted the USFWS by letter February 8, 1988
requesting comments (enclosed in Appendix A) on the proposed action
and received no reply. We have followed up with a second request
and have enclosed their verbal comments in the final document
(Appendix Al2,13,14).
The actual impacts on wetland #118 cannot be determined until such
time that a wetland boundary determination is made and the proposed
County Road 116 alignment is further developed. It appears from
data currently available that no filling or alteration of the
wetland would be necessary. If, however, in the design process,
it is determined that a small portion of the wetland would be
impacted, coordination for necessary permits from the DNR and Corps
would be continued.
222 Monroe Street
Anoka, Minnesota 55303
