It is important to note that the projections contained in this chapter represent
unconstrained demand projections. These projections are subject to further refinement as
a result of the airside and landside demand capacity analysis, which will be undertaken in
the study's next technical element. A forecast refinement which reflects system limitations
and anticipated enhancements will be undertaken as part of the description of the
recommended system. In the case of Minneapolis-St. Paul International, results of the
registrant and transient pilot survey have indicated that a transfer of genera] aviation of
demand to the relievers is possible. This redistribution of demand will be examined as part
of the alternatives analysis and could bring general aviation demand projections prepared
in this study for Minneapolis-St. Paul International in line with these contained in the FAA
hub forecast.
5. PROJECITON SUMMARY
A summary of this chapter's projections is provided in Table II-15. As noted, these
constrained projections of demand are subject to further refinement based on subsequent
study analyses and recommendations.
II-12
