On a
peak day a reasonable assumption is that 708 of
the itinerant traffic will be visiting aircraft.
This traffic will, for the most part, arrive and
'
depart the same day, and it is assumed that 508
of
the visiting aircraft will be on the ground at the
same time. An additional allowance must be made
for short -term parking of based aircraft. This
allowance is five percent of all based aircraft.
The itinerant ramp requirements needed for a peak
day using the forecast data previously discussed
are as follows:
'
1984 1990 1995
2005
Peak Day Number of
'
Transient Aircraft 3 9 18
Number Requiring Tie Downs 2 5 9
30
15
Itinerant Ramp Requirement 720SY 1800SY 3240SY
5400SY
Number Short -term Based
'
Aircraft (5 %) 1 1 2
3
Operations Ramp Allowance 300SY 300SY 600SY
900SY
Total ramp requirements are thus summarized as
follows:
1984 1990 1995
2005
'
Long -term Tie Down (SY) 600 1,500 2,100
3,000
Itinerant Ramp (SY) 720 1,800 3
5,400
Operations Ramp (SY) 300 300 600
900
'
Total (SY) 1,620 3,600 5,940
9,300
(SF) 14,580 32,400 53,460 83,700
6 -6
1
