Since submittal of the Phase I draft study, two additional
meetings have been held. On May 15, 1985, the Airport Commission
held a joint meeting (open to the public) which included the
Ramsey City Council, the City Planning Commission, and the
Economic Development Commission to review the draft Master Plan
Study. A public informational meeting was held May 29, 1985 by
the Airport Commission to present their findings of the impor-
tance of airports to other communities. The airport layout plan
and preliminary cost estimates were again presented.
A public hearing on the Master Plan Study was held by the Airport
Commission on August 21, 1985 with an additional 10 day comment
period. The Airport Master Plan Study was subsequently endorsed
by the Ramsey Airport Commission and the Ramsey Economic
Development Commission. The Ramsey City Council adopted the
Master Study by resolution on October 8, 1985.
While no federal funds have been committed to this study, the
procedures used for this study are in accordance with Federal
Aviation Administration Guidelines in Advisory Circulars
150/5050-4, Citizen Participation in Airport Planning, and
150/5070-6, Airport Master Plans.
1-2
