Charter air service was used by nine (9) companies surveyed <br />and the purpose for use was primarily for transporting <br />company executive personnel. The survey also asked if air <br />taxi service was available between Gateway North and <br />Minneapolis —St. Paul International whether companies <br />surveyed would use that service and 19 replied yes to that <br />question. <br />Of the 86 respondents, 43 felt that improvements to Gateway <br />North Airport would have an economic impact on the area <br />and/or their company. Nineteen stated "no" to the above <br />question with 21 no responses. Some of the local businesses <br />in the area which commented that improvements were needed <br />are United Power Assoc., H&S Asphalt, Mate Punch & Die <br />Company and Cargill Research Firm. Government agencies <br />stating interest were Metro Mosquito Control, Anoka State <br />Hospital and the National Guard. <br />A copy of the tabulation of answers and comments is enclosed <br />in Appendix B. <br />4-6 <br />
