Dear Mr. Stockdale: We recently submitted draft Master Plan Study documents and ALP's to MN/DOT for the above referenced airport. MN/DOT has since transmitted copies to the review agencies. • At its June 26th meeting, the Ramsey Airport Commission moved to seek FAA site endorsement of the airport site. It is understood that site endorsement is not required given the airport's current status, how- , ever, it is anticipated that the City will soon be requesting entry into the NPIAS. It, thus, would be a necessary step at a future date. -z A final public hearing will be held August 21st on the Master Plan ` Study. It is hoped that a positive determination could be made prior _ to the hearing. A positive airspace determination was made November 19, 1984 on the preliminary ALP (Study No. 84-AGL-697-NRA). The draft Master Plan Study refers to previous studies which evaluated alternative sites. We are transmitting one copy each of Phase I and II Site Selection Studies (July 1980, Jan. 1981). Public opposition to the General Mills site in 1981 halted any action by the City on that site. It has since been acquired by a developer for residential development.
