PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission conducted a regular meeting on January 14, 2010, at Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Commission Members Presents Also Present: Commissioners Absent: CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Jill Johns Commissioner Randy Backous Commissioner Bridget Barr Commissioner Shane Bennett Commissioner Angela Olsen Commissioner Tom LaMere Parks Supervisor, Mark Riverblood Civil Engineer II, Leonard Linton Vice Chair Melody Shryock (excused) Chairperson Johns called the Park and Recreation Commission meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. CITIZEN INPUT Bill Casey, 18720 Ebony Street NW, Elk River, was present to represent Anoka Ramsey Youth, Athletic Association and their Northern Light Soccer Club of which he is President. Mr. Casey wanted to make it formally known where he stands in terms of the soccer program and present what they are thinking in terms of the program and its support of a building at Elmcrest Park. He stated that if it helps speed up the process that his program is willing to take some of their money and put it toward the project to help facilitate moving things along quicker. He is also committed to working with Parks Supervisor Mark Riverblood to work out some sort of maintenance sharing agreement with regards to the building. APPROVE AGENDA Motion by Commissioner Olsen, seconded by Commissioner Backous to approve the Park and Recreation Commission meeting agenda for the meeting dated January 14, 2009. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioner Olsen, Backous, Barr, Bennett, LaMere. Voting No: None. APPROVE MINUTES Motion by Commissioner Olsen, seconded by Commissioner Barr to approve the following Park and Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes: Park and Recreation Commission/January 14, 2010 Page 1 of 3
