Police Chief Way stated it was essential the Police and Fire Departments have the following <br />minimal information: The name(s) of the people who had the key, business address, what was <br />inside the business (i.e. hazardous materials), and who is to be contacted in the event of an <br />emergency. <br />Councilmember Look expressed concern that some businesses might try and get away with <br />having hazardous materials on site and how would the City enforce that. <br />The Council discussed the proposed fees, fire safety, key contact information for the businesses, <br />advantage to having information for 911. <br />It was the Councils' consensus to not charge a business licensing fee, for the City to collect basic <br />information for public safety purposes, and to maintain some type of penalty/fee (i.e. required, <br />fire inspection, etc.) for failure of a business to provide the minimal information to the City. <br />4) Discussion Regarding RFP for Electrical Inspector <br />Human Resources Manager/Assistant Director of Administration Reed Kone reviewed staffls <br />report. <br />The Council discussed the RFP's received and how to proceed. <br />It was the Council's consensus to authorize staff to ask Mr. Tokle if he would be willing to <br />match the other RFP. <br />5) Discuss Website Design <br />IT Manager Busch reviewed staffls report. <br />The Council discussed the design. <br />It was the Council's consensus they liked the new website design and that staff should proceed. <br />6) Review Letter re the Property at 7167 Highway #10 NW (Old Holiday Station) <br />This item was moved to the City Council agenda. <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />None <br />City Council Work Session /April 27, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
