a. City Oversight -Roles & Responsibilities <br />Vice-Chairperson Jeffrey talked about the City's oversight -and how there needs to be four <br />votes. <br />Commissioner Elvig stated that he wants everything to come through the Council - he wants all <br />to stay connected. <br />Discussion ensued relating to the financial piece and the sales piece and that seven -zero votes <br />would be best. <br />b. Communication <br />Commissioner McGlone mentioned the Weekly Update could be a tool for communication. <br />Commissioner Elvig commented that the drawback to that tool for communication could be that <br />some of the information is somewhat confidential. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that the communication could come through our office and go <br />out to the Council as confidential information. <br />Vice-Chairperson Jeffrey stated we just want to be kept in the loop. <br />Vice-Chairperson Jeffrey asked the Development Team what they hope to get out of tonight's <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Lazan responded that he wanted to for sure get through items V. Levels of Project Success, <br />VI. Concept Plan, VII. Financial Plan and VIII. Marketing Plan. <br />Mr. Cronk talked some about visioning and that the first step is to figure out how we complete <br />the work with the Council to take the plan to market. The plan has to look, feel and smell real. <br />Vice-Chairperson Jeffrey stated that we pay this Development Team to talk to each other so the <br />team needs to figure this out. <br />Mr. Lazan stated that they are trying to get these things in line and either the Council has to say <br />run with it - or that they want to be involved. <br />Commissioner Elvig stated that it is more the reporting back to Council. <br />Commissioner McGlone asked where we are with regard to having more salability. <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson stated that we are talking more next Tuesday on the branding <br />of this project. We have spent a lot of time in visioning and we could spend more time on that <br />on the staff level.
