<br />Consent # ~ Iii <br /> <br />REPORT FROM PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />By: Colleen Lasher, Human Resources Technician <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee met Tuesday, June 8, 2010 to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion to approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Case 1 <br /> <br />Consider Appointment of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc. as Agent/Broker of <br />Record for Health and Dental Insurance Programs and COBRA Administration <br />and Terminate Agent of Record Relationship with CBIZ <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Committee discussed the Agent/Broker of Record case and decided that since the Human <br />Resources Manager is no longer with us they would like to see the scoring sheets for each firm. <br />They discussed the practice of negotiating broker fees down and whether that was something that <br />staff should be doing. Heidi Nelson reported that staff does negotiate fees. Yvonne Johnson <br />from Gallagher Benefit Services was also present. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Referred back to the Personnel Committee to review evaluation criteria for each of the firms that <br />submitted a proposal. <br /> <br />Case 2 <br /> <br />Consider Resolution Approving 2010 Labor Agreement with LELS-Patrol <br /> <br />Ba'ckground: <br /> <br />The Committee discussed the details of the contract and liked the creative initiatives that staff <br />employed to settle the contract in a budget neutral manner. The Personnel Committee <br />recommended Council adopt the resolution approving the LELS-Patrollabor agreement. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Personnel Committee. <br />
