<br />i) The wheelchair lift will be Ricon ADA 5005 or approved <br />equal. The lift will be a minimum of 31 3/4" X 48". The lift <br />must accommodate combined weight of passenger and <br />wheelchair of 800 pounds. The lift will be fully automatic <br />with controls mounted on a pendant with a minimum 6' <br />cord. <br /> <br />ii) The wheelchair and passenger restraint system will be Q_ <br />Straint or approved equal, four-point floor support restraint <br />system. Each wheelchair position will have adjustable <br />restraint belts with lap/shoulder torso restraints. Belts will <br />be stored in a convenient storage compartment to be <br />determined by the proposer. <br /> <br />iii) The wheelchair station(s) will be mounted underneath <br />seats that will slide either forward or backward and flip out <br />of the way in order to secure wheelchair(s). <br /> <br />iv) The minimum wheelchair lift door opening will be 45" X <br />68". <br /> <br />v) The wheelchair lift door will be equipped with a California- <br />style transmission/brake interlock system. <br /> <br />I) Exterior Signage <br /> <br />The vehicles will display programmable, electronic message signs <br />on the front of the vehicles. Signage will be Luminator TM or <br />equivalent. <br /> <br />m) Public Address System <br /> <br />An interior and exterior public address system with a handheld <br />microphone will be provided. Internal announcements should be <br />audible from every seating position in the vehicle. <br /> <br />n) Vehicle Handling Characteristics <br /> <br />All vehicles used to provide Project service shall be able to <br />accommodate a 40' vehicle turning radius and be capable of <br />accelerating to a highway cruising speed of 65 mph. <br /> <br />0) Fueling <br /> <br />Each proposer shall include in its proposal the procedures used <br />for fueling the vehicles, including information concerning seasonal <br />adjustment of fuel mixtures. Each proposer shall also include in <br />its proposal a description of its procedures used for filing a Transit <br />Refund Claim PDR-1T. <br /> <br />28 <br />
