i) The wheelchair lift will be Ricon ADA 5005 or approved equal. The lift will be a minimum of 31 3/4" X 48". The lift must accommodate combined weight of passenger and wheelchair of 800 pounds. The lift will be fully automatic with controls mounted on a pendant with a minimum 6' cord. ii) The wheelchair and passenger restraint system will be Q_ Straint or approved equal, four-point floor support restraint system. Each wheelchair position will have adjustable restraint belts with lap/shoulder torso restraints. Belts will be stored in a convenient storage compartment to be determined by the proposer. iii) The wheelchair station(s) will be mounted underneath seats that will slide either forward or backward and flip out of the way in order to secure wheelchair(s). iv) The minimum wheelchair lift door opening will be 45" X 68". v) The wheelchair lift door will be equipped with a California- style transmission/brake interlock system. I) Exterior Signage The vehicles will display programmable, electronic message signs on the front of the vehicles. Signage will be Luminator TM or equivalent. m) Public Address System An interior and exterior public address system with a handheld microphone will be provided. Internal announcements should be audible from every seating position in the vehicle. n) Vehicle Handling Characteristics All vehicles used to provide Project service shall be able to accommodate a 40' vehicle turning radius and be capable of accelerating to a highway cruising speed of 65 mph. 0) Fueling Each proposer shall include in its proposal the procedures used for fueling the vehicles, including information concerning seasonal adjustment of fuel mixtures. Each proposer shall also include in its proposal a description of its procedures used for filing a Transit Refund Claim PDR-1T. 28
