CONSIDER RESOLUTION APPROVING 2010 LABOR AGREEMENT WITH LELS-SERGEANTS By: Colleen Lasher, Human Resources Technician Background On June 9, 2010, City staff was notified that LELS-Sergeants had voted to settle the 2010 Labor Agreement. Below is a list of the terms and conditions that have been tentatively agreed to: Article XXIV lluration: One-year / 2010 Appendix XX11 Salaries: 2010-0% COLA with step increases far those who are eligible. ARTICLE XX OVERTIME For 2010 only, the following changes will be made to Article XX Section 10.1 of the 2010 LELS Labor Agreement: Section 10.1 ;~,~~ee~ ''~.-,~1=~Ee~enst~ted~t-~.~orre l~~~lf r' '~'- t~ ~~*h~ P16yee's--Fe~l~ase~-rc c~fex--hvtrr=s=:r'6f: cd-iir=v~cv°P.,~, -°f~lle wee--€er e~r~tit~te under-th}s-~ TT~r~E Employees will be compensated at one and one-half (1 '/~) times the Employee's re~,ular base pay rate for hours worked in excess of the Employee's regularly scheduled shift. Changes of shifts do not qualify an Employee for overtime under this ARTICLE. Alternatively as of Januar~l, 2010 Employees may elect to take compensatory time off in lieu of receiving overtime compensation. All administrative protocols apply as per the respective Memorandum of Understanding included with the full labor agreement. All other provisions of Article XX shall apply normally. In addition employees at the top of the~ay scale (step six) will receive eight additional holiday hours which must be taken as paid leave in 2010.
