YERS CASE #: ~.Q~. <br />CONSIDER RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />2010 LABOR AGREEMENT WITH LELS-SERGEANTS <br />By: Colleen Lasher, Human Resources Technician <br />Background <br />On June 9, 2010, City staff was notified that LELS-Sergeants had voted to settle the 2010 Labor <br />Agreement. Below is a list of the terms and conditions that have been tentatively agreed to: <br />Article XXIV lluration: One-year / 2010 <br />Appendix XX11 Salaries: 2010-0% COLA with step increases far those who are <br />eligible. <br />ARTICLE XX OVERTIME <br />For 2010 only, the following changes will be made to Article XX Section <br />10.1 of the 2010 LELS Labor Agreement: <br />Section 10.1 ;~,~~ee~ ''~.-,~1=~Ee~enst~ted~t-~.~orre l~~~lf r' '~'- t~ ~~*h~ <br />P16yee's--Fe~l~ase~-rc c~fex--hvtrr=s=:r'6f: cd-iir=v~cv°P.,~, -°f~lle <br />wee--€er e~r~tit~te under-th}s-~ TT~r~E Employees will be <br />compensated at one and one-half (1 '/~) times the Employee's re~,ular base <br />pay rate for hours worked in excess of the Employee's regularly scheduled <br />shift. Changes of shifts do not qualify an Employee for overtime under <br />this ARTICLE. Alternatively as of Januar~l, 2010 Employees may elect <br />to take compensatory time off in lieu of receiving overtime compensation. <br />All administrative protocols apply as per the respective Memorandum of <br />Understanding included with the full labor agreement. <br />All other provisions of Article XX shall apply normally. <br />Article XVII Holidays <br />For 2010 only, the following changes will be made to Article XVII, <br />Sections 17.1 and 17.4 of the 2010 LELS Labor Agreement: <br />Section 17.1 ~~,~'^.,~~~ ~^" ~ ~ ~~ ^ r°~'` :" `bri. v.orl: sol~eEltr~f©r-~net~-- <br />~;v ~n~~ t,^'~a~•~'~^••~~ ~°~ ~~°^r Employees will receive or be given credit <br />in the work schedule for ninety-six (96) holiday hours per year.
