One sign per vehicular access to a development, not to exceed 32 square feet in area is <br />permitted. <br />(b) <br />Temporary signs. Temporary signs are permitted in accordance with section 117-465. <br />(c) <br />Home occupation signs. No. OS-25, § 2, 8.12-2008) <br />Sec. 117-519. -Business type districts. <br />(a) <br />Business use signs. <br />(Wall, canopy ormarquee sign. Total sign area may not exceed 15 percent of the front building facade. Businesses <br />in multitenant buildings shall be allowed the proportionate share of the total wall sign area. The total wall signage <br />permitted may be distributed on any other building facade. Sign height shall not exceed the top of the parapet wall <br />or, if no parapet wall, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, canopy or marquee sign may be <br />located on the outermost wall of any principal building but shall not project more than 16 inches from the wall to <br />which the sign is to be affixed. The gross surface area of a wall, canopy or marquee sign may be increased by ten <br />percent if such wall sign: <br />a. I <br />Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric and/or symbolic characters without background except j <br />that provided by the building surface to which the sign is to be affixed; and j <br />b. I <br />Illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded illumination, shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot <br />lighting but not any lighting where the light source is visible or exposed on the face or sides of the characters. <br />G2round sign. There shall not be more than one ground sign for each parcel. The gross surface area of a ground <br />sign shall not exceed 100 square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of 200 <br />square feet. <br />Service bayidentification signs. Service bay identificaticn signs providing direction or instruction to persons using <br />the facility and containing no advertising material of any kind shall be subject to the following: <br />a <br />All service bay identification signs shall be wall signs. <br />b. <br />There shall not be more than one service bay identification sign for each service bay located on the parcel. <br />c. <br />A service bay identification sign may be located on the outermost wall. of any principal building adjacent to a <br />service bay entrance. <br />d. I <br />A service bay identification sign shall not project higher than the parapet line of the wall to which the sign is to <br />be affixed. <br />F4uel pump island identification sign.
