Motion by Commissioner Ramsey, seconded by Commissioner Wise, to adopt Resolution
#HRA-IO-OS-005, to appoint the Deputy City Administrator/Community Development Director
as Executive Director.
Further Discussion: Mayor Ramsey recommended the HRA have a Consent Agenda like the
Council does at the Council meetings. Chairperson Dehen stated he wanted to be contacted
when an agenda is set up and have all of the information ahead of time. It was the consensus of
the HRA to have a Consent Agenda. The HRA discussed how to transmit conf dential
information. Deputy City Administrator Nelson stated she will talk to the City Attorney as to
how to handle confidential information. Commissioner Jeffrey stated he would be willing to
participate in the discussion with the City Attorney as he has had experience with these issues in
the past.
Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Dehen, Commissioners Ramsey, Wise, Elvig, Jeffrey,
Look, and McGlone. Voting No: None. Absent: None.
Case #2: Informational Update on Stormwater Ponding and Aesthetics within East
Meandering Commons Park
City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report.
Commissioner Look stated his concern was there were no Maple autumn blaze trees in the plan.
He stated he wanted fall color in this park to bring people into the City.
Commissioner Elvig agreed it would be nice to have fall color, but there were other plants and
trees that also had nice color. He recommended the Commissioners visit Centennial Lakes Park
in the south Metro for ideas.
Commissioner Ramsey agreed there should be some Maple blaze trees as well as other colorful
trees in the park.
City Engineer Himmer stated he would check with the supplier to see if the trees have been
ordered.
It was the HRA's consensus to not have a lot of foliage along the borders and to have a
Centennial Lakes tour.
Commissioner Jeffrey asked if there should be a boat landing put in also.
Commissioner Ramsey noted this lake was too small for a boat landing, but Lake Ramsey could
handle a boat landing.
Case #3: Property Maintenance in Town Center -Master Association
Development Manager Lazan reviewed the staff report.
Housing and Redevelopment Authority /May 18, 2010
Page 2 of 6
