ORDINANCE #10- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 117 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 117.ARTICLE II DIVISION 8 (SIGNS) OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1 AUTHORITY This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of Ramsey. SECTION 2 AMEND Chapter 117 Article II Division 6 of the Ramsey City Code is hereby amended as follows: Sea 117-465. -Temporary signs. (a) Temporary signs are defined as signs which are erected or displayed for a limited period of time and not affixed to a state building code approved stmcture. A sign is considered temporary if it is not intended to remain on the property permanently and has not received a permanent sign permit and/or is not intended to be constmeted per the state building code. (1) Duration. Temporary signs shall be permitted for up to-six weeks per yeazper pazcel, or per business on multitenant business pazcels. The six-week limit may be extended up to four weeks if there have been no sign violations in the past yeaz by the entity who erects the sign. (2) Location Temporary signs must be located fully on private property, with the permission of the property owner. The city will remove any signs in the publicright-of--way, or erected without permission from the property owner. (3) Number. All properties are limited to two temporazy signs per pazcel. In locations where there are multiple businesses on one pazcel (a multitenant facility), three signs aze pemtitted. (4) Size. Temporary signs shall be limited to 50 square feet in size. The provisions of this division apply to all temporary signs, and appropriate penalties for violations will be assessed, as outlined in section 117-461.
