The timeline allows sufficient <br />time for the selected candidate to begin work in mid to late November 2010. <br />Activity Date <br />. Application period August 11 - September 8, 2010 <br />. First interviews Week of September 20, 2010 <br />. Interview Panel to include <br /> -EDA Chair <br /> -City Council Members serving on the EDA <br /> -City Administrator <br /> -Deputy City Administrator <br /> -Member of the Management Team <br /> -Interim Human Resources Representative <br />. Second interviews Week of September 27,2010 <br />. Interview Panel to include <br /> -City Administrator <br /> -Deputy City Administrator/Community Dev. Director <br /> -Interim Human Resources Representative <br />. Background Check Week of October 4,2010 <br />. Conditional offer extended Week of October 4, 2010 upon <br /> completion of background check <br />. Medical exam & Psychological Assessment Week of October 11,2010 <br />. <br />. Personnel Committee recommendation to the City Council October 26, 2010 <br />. <br />. City Council authorization to hire (Same night) Oct. 26,2010 <br /> Or **November 9,2010 <br />. Tentative start date Nov. 10,2010 or Nov. 24, 2010 <br />* * If City Council authorization to hire does not occur until November 9, 2010 the candidate will be <br />required to wait five weeks (vs. three) from the date of the City's contingent offer letter for <br />confirmation of hire. This would delay the candidate from resigning/giving notice to his/her current <br />employer by an additional two weeks. <br />
