<br />PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, in the Trott <br />Brook Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Human Resources Technician Colleen Lasher <br />Deputy City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />City Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Dehen called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5 :00 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey to approve the <br />agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Dehen, Councilmember Jeffrey, and Councilmember <br />McGlone. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case 4.01 Authorization to Hire Paid-on-call Firefighters <br /> <br />The Committee discussed the details of the case and the hiring of Mr. Joshua Diekow and Mr. <br />Dennis Morphew. It was originally planned to bring this case forward for City Council <br />consideration on July 27,2010; however, due to Chief Kapler's need to expedite the process he <br />requested to have the case heard on the regular agenda later in the evening. Councilmember <br />Jeffrey asked if both of the new firefighters are eligible for the Nowthen reimbursement, Chief <br />Kapler responded that one of the two new firefighters is assigned to the Nowthen station and <br />therefore eligible for reimbursement through the joint powers agreement. <br /> <br />Personnel Committee / July 13,2010 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
