Motion by Commissioner Cleveland, seconded by Commissioner Rogers, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Cleveland, Rogers, Brauer, <br />Dunaway, Hunt, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />The public hearing closed at 7:40 p.m. <br />Commission Business <br />Commissioner Brauer stated the traffic trips would be 90 per day, dividing by 12 hours of <br />operation only adds seven trips per hour and if you divided that in half to six hours you are <br />looking at 14 trips per hour. <br />Commissioner Cleveland stated she appreciates the residents' concerns. She agrees it could be <br />that the speed will slow down because of the daycare, with people turning in and out of the site. <br />Commissioner Brauer added that in regards to the trips per day, if you throw in a fast food <br />business you are looking at 14 trips an hour easily. <br />Chairperson Levine reiterated that the petition would go to the council. <br />Planning Manager Miller stated the petition would need to be to Staff by June 14tH <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Brauer, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the resolution adopting Findings of Fact favorable to the applicant's request. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Van Scoy, Brauer, <br />Cleveland, Dunaway, Hunt, and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Rogers to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the resolution granting approval of a conditional use permit to operate a <br />preschool/daycare center in the Mallard Ponds PUD, based on the Findings of Fact, and declaring <br />terms of the same. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Van Scoy, Rogers, Brauer, <br />Cleveland, Dunaway, and Hunt. Voting No: None.
