Councilmember McGlone noted that an assessment policy would ensure the City had good roads <br />and a good infrastructure system. <br />Councilmember Dehen stated, from. a legal standpoint, the City might get some people <br />contesting it because of the lack of proven value in property value. <br />Councilmember Wise stated he liked the assessment practice: <br />Councilmember Dehen stated since he has been on the Council, this policy has been discussed <br />and something needed to be done. He stated he wanted to know what the City could increase the <br />levy to. <br />It was Council's consensus that they needed further information including more ideas (more <br />creativity), what other cities are doing, and who was lobbying the legislature, as well as support, <br />and have a legislative initiative for this policy. <br />3) East Central Park Access Road <br />City Engineer Himmer reviewed staff s report. <br />Councilmember Elvig stated he did not agree with having aone-way road all the way around. <br />He noted there were too many children in the area. <br />Mayor Ramsey stated he did not see any issue with having the road one way from the hockey <br />rinks. <br />Councilmember Dehen left the meeting at 8:41 p.m. <br />The Council discussed options for the access road. <br />It was Council's consensus to prepare a cost estimate and look at a two-way road. <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />None <br />ADJOURNMENT . <br />The Work Session of the City Council was adjourned at 8:45 p.m. <br />City Council Work Session /June 15, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
