Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />CONSIDER RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE ASSISTANT FINANCE OFFICER'S <br />RESIGNATION, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PROMOTE THE EMPLOYEE IN THE <br />ACCOUNTANT I POSITION TO SENIOR ACCOUNTANT AND TO BEGIN A <br />RECRUITMENT TO REPLACE THE ACCOUNTANT I POSITION. <br />WHEREAS, the Assistant Finance Officer has submitted a letter of resignation effective <br />August 11, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, for the immediate future the position of Assistant Finance Officer will <br />remain vacant, with the intent of refilling as staff qualifications & economy demand; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has requested to promote the City's current Accountant I to the <br />position of Senior Accountant; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to begin the recruitment process for a new <br />Accountant I. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />• Accept the resignation of the Assistant Finance Officer <br />Promote the City's current Accountant I to the position of Senior Accountant, and <br />Direct staff to begin the recruitment process to for a new Accountant I <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 24`h day of August 2010. <br />
