Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 10 -09 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION TO AMEND AGREEMENT NO. 89336, A JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />THE CITY OF ANOKA, THE CITY OF RAMSEY, AND THE CITY OF NOWTHEN <br />(FORMERLY BURNS TOWNSHIP) FOR PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL <br />SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, City of Anoka, MnDOT, Anoka County and City of Nowthen <br />(formerly Burns Township) have indicated a desire to work collaboratively on solving the issue <br />of traffic congestion of Trunk Highway 47, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey understands that Trunk Highway 47 provides economic vitality <br />to its community and is a regional transportation corridor, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey approved entering into this agreement by Resolution 06 -05- <br />168 dated May 23, 2006, and; <br />WHEREAS, Amendment No. 5 to the agreement requests extending the contract expiration date <br />to June 15, 2011. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City of Ramsey City Council accept Amendment No. 5 to Mn/DOT Contract <br />No. 89336 for Alignment Concepts, Preliminary Design, Environmental Review and <br />Official Mapping of TH 47 <br />2) That the Mayor and the City Administrator are authorized to execute such agreement. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 14th day of September 2010. <br />Mayor <br />City Clerk <br />RESOLUTION #10 -09 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
