-296- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 5, 2003, the Developer submitted a preliminary plat to the City for <br />the development of the Subject Property to be named Alpine Acres 2nd Addition; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 5, 2003, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing and <br />recommended the City Council approve the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres 2nd Addition <br />contingent upon compliance with City Staff Review Letter dated May 30, 2003, the City Council <br />approving a comprehensive plan amendment to change the land use designation in the <br />Comprehensive Plan from low density residential to medium density residential, and the property <br />being rezoned from R-1 Single Family Residential to R-2 Medium Density Residential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Code states that preliminary plats must wait at least 14 days following <br />the Planning Commission public hearing to be reviewed by the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a portion of the Subject Property serves as the entrance into the proposed <br />Alpine Acres plat, a 202 townhouse unit subdivision being reviewed by the City Council on June <br />10, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the City to review the preliminary plat for Alpine <br />Acres and Alpine Acres 2nd Addition at the same City Council meeting; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to a lack of a quorum on May 20, 2003, the Planning Commission was <br />unable to hold a public hearing and take official action on the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wilt be reviewing the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres at <br />their June 10, 2003 meeting, which is 5 days after the Planning Commission held the public <br />hearing for the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Waives the 14 day time fi'ame requirement between the Planning Commission public <br />hearing and City Council review for the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 10th day of June, 2003. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-06- <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />.i <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
