-296- WHEREAS, on May 5, 2003, the Developer submitted a preliminary plat to the City for the development of the Subject Property to be named Alpine Acres 2nd Addition; and WHEREAS, on June 5, 2003, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing and recommended the City Council approve the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres 2nd Addition contingent upon compliance with City Staff Review Letter dated May 30, 2003, the City Council approving a comprehensive plan amendment to change the land use designation in the Comprehensive Plan from low density residential to medium density residential, and the property being rezoned from R-1 Single Family Residential to R-2 Medium Density Residential; and WHEREAS, City Code states that preliminary plats must wait at least 14 days following the Planning Commission public hearing to be reviewed by the City Council; and WHEREAS, a portion of the Subject Property serves as the entrance into the proposed Alpine Acres plat, a 202 townhouse unit subdivision being reviewed by the City Council on June 10, 2003; and WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the City to review the preliminary plat for Alpine Acres and Alpine Acres 2nd Addition at the same City Council meeting; and WHEREAS, due to a lack of a quorum on May 20, 2003, the Planning Commission was unable to hold a public hearing and take official action on the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres; and WHEREAS, the City Council wilt be reviewing the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres at their June 10, 2003 meeting, which is 5 days after the Planning Commission held the public hearing for the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Waives the 14 day time fi'ame requirement between the Planning Commission public hearing and City Council review for the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres 2nd Addition. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 10th day of June, 2003.
