This basin currently is located in the middle
of a lot east of Helium Street. A portion of the undeveloped land north of the
subdivision contributes runoff to this detention basin. Without the relocation and
improvement of this detention basin by providing an outlet, and the provision of
an underground storm drainage system, the subdivision will experience
increased flooding.

The Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization will require storm
water runoff from the Subdivision and other contributing areas to be pre-treated
prior to discharging to the neighboring wetland which eventually discharges to
the Rum River. ..

B. Water System

The subdivision has individual wells for each developed lot. There are stub outs
for connection to the City's 12" trunk water main in CSAH 5 and to the existing
water system in eastern end of 150~h Lane.

C. Sanitary Sewer System

The subdivision has individual septic tanks for each developed lot. ··There is a
stub out for connection to the City's 8"sanitary sewer at the eastern end of 150~h
Lane.

PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS
A. Streets and Storm Drainaqe

The City's existing aerial topography was used to develop existing and proposed
profiles of the streets and identify the current drainage patterns. Existing
conditions, including location of existing storm drainage culverts, were verified in
the field. The relative location, elevation and gradient of existing driveway
connections were noted in the

The proposed street pavement is a seven (7) ton class with mountable concrete
curb and gutter, thirty-two (32') feet width to back of curbs. The underground
storm drainage system will be designed to carry the 10-year storm, flowing full.

See "EXHIBIT A" for _detailed description of the proposed street and storm
drainage improvements.

B. Water System

The proposed water system improvements, wit! provide a minimum 8" water main .
with the connection of larger trunk lines in accordance with the City's master

Page 3
G NvlunicipaI~ARAMSEY\632\RA632F S R.doc
