He asked if this should <br />be introduced, or give Chief Way the opportunity to look at this. <br />Police Chief recommended this be introduced tonight as there were a couple of large events <br />coming up in the future and a lot of damage could be done by the skateboarders in the meantime. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to introduce Ordinance <br />Amending Chapter 54 of City Code, related to an Expanded Area for Restricted Roller Device <br />Usage Within the Town Center District. <br />Further discussion: Planning Manager Miller noted if there were substantive changes, it would be <br />reintroduced. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Dehen, Elvig, Jeffrey, Look, <br />McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />On the Consent Agenda, adopted eazlier this evening, the City Council made the <br />following changes to the August meeting Schedule: <br />- Cancel August 3 City Council Work Session and HRA due to Night to Unite <br />- Reschedule August 10 City Council and Committee meetings to August 9, due to <br />Primary Election <br />- Schedule Canvassing Board to Canvas Votes from the Primary Election for 9:00 <br />in the morning on Friday, August 13 <br />- Cancel August 17 Public Works Committee & Work Session due to Ramsey <br />Business Appreciation Golf Event <br />Mayor Ramsey clazified that the new City Park had not cost ten million dollazs, but rather 2.8 <br />million. He noted all of the dollazs used for that park all came from park dedication fees that had <br />been paid by developers. <br />Mayor Ramsey noted the Farmers Market was being held on Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. <br />Mayor Ramsey noted August 5 was the first event at the Amphitheater featuring Big Walter <br />Smith from 5-7 p.m. <br />9.
