The following is a partial list of what is being considered at this time (no order): • <br />• Conduct a Market Study for establishment of a fitness center. <br />• Installation of a self-serve Canoe and Kayak System for Sunfish Lake. <br />• Identification of 9 or more walking 'Trail Loops' with Attendant <br />Mapping and Way-finding System. (Deliverables to be print and Web <br />accessible maps indicating trail routes and distances, as well as mileage <br />markers along the trail routes.) <br />• Sign the Mississippi River Trail. <br />• Community Engagement Event Kick off in May or June 2011. (It has <br />been suggested that the Community Engagement event involve an <br />internationally renowned guest motivational speaker (Polly Letofsky, <br />the First American Woman to walk around the world), include <br />extensive media coverage, and involve feedback session(s) relative to <br />Town Center pedestrian planning priorities/polices.) <br />Staff will review the potential program elements above in greater detail at the <br />meeting, and also invites the Commission to propose additional projects for <br />consideration.
