•
CONSIDER NEED FOR REGULAR MEETING(S) IN OCTOBER AND
DECEMBER 2010
By: Mark Riverblood, Parks Supervisor
Background:
The purpose of this case is for the Park and Recreation Commission to consider
cancelling the October and December meetings in 2010 if there is not a time - sensitive
need to meet. As the Commission is aware, the agenda has been `light' for many of the
meetings this year thus far.
The next case discusses a pending development project that may require Commission
action in October, but is more likely to need a Commission recommendation in
November 2010. In addition, it has been customary to cancel the regular meeting for
December in about 2 out of three years for lack of `actionable' business.
Observations:
CASE #1
For November 2010, the agenda may include the following items:
• Provide Park Dedication and Trail Fee recommendation on the Christian
Academy.
• Acknowledge Park and Recreation Commission work plan as it relates to the State
Health Improvement Program (SHIP).
• Recommend a 2011 — 2016 Parks Capital Improvement for City Council
consideration.
• Provide recommendation on Park Dedication and Trail Fee structure for 2011.
Commission Action:
Based upon discussion.
P &R: 09/9/10
