CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Management Intern Jessica Hendricks <br />Associate Planner Tim Gladhill <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:14 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />I) Discuss Former Municipal Center Site <br />City Administrator Ulrich summarized staffls report. <br />Mayor Ramsey stated he would like to put this on the market to see what the City could get out <br />of the site to reinvest the funds into the fire station. <br />Councilmember McGlone stated he did not like the fact that the City would need to bond for this <br />and he believed there were other options the City could look at. <br />Councilmember Elvig stated the City should also look to the future and the need for more <br />schools. He believed this site would be a good location for a school.
