It was Council's consensus to put the property on the market and staff is to decide what the best strategy was for that and come back to Council in the future. 2) Rates for Security at Game Fair Police Chief Way summarized staff's report. Chuck Delaney stated this issue was a cost factor. He did not believe the City should charge for the security coverage. He noted none of the other cities he worked with charged for this coverage. He stated minimal tickets were issued by the Police Departrnent last year and there were very few problems. He indicated the City had failed to mention the Game Fair in the recent Resident also. He believed the police coverage was part of a community service and that was why residents were paying taxes. Council discussed their concern that the advertising for the event said Anoka instead of Ramsey. They discussed whether the event should be looked at as a benefit and business opportunity for the City and if the City should look at contributing to the cost of the event. They discussed the actual costs incurred for security at the event. It was Council's consensus to have the HRA pay for 1/3 of the cost, the EDA pay for 1/3 of the cost, Mr. Delaney pay for 1/3 of the cost and the City has a free booth at the event as well as Mr. Delaney changing all advertising to say the event is held in the City of Ramsey. 3) Reconsider Seating Options for the New Lake Itasca Room Management Intern Hendricks summarized staff s report. It was Council's consensus to look at further options and if no comparable chairs can be found, staff can order the chairs from Intereum for $6,091.20.
