7.07: Consider Adoption of Resolution #10- 09 -XXX Proclaiming September. 17 -23, 2010 <br />as Constitution Week <br />Councilmember Elvig recognized Constitution Week during September 17 -23, 2010. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution #10- <br />09 -205 Proclaiming September 17 -23, 2010 as Constitution Week. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Dehen, Elvig, Jeffrey, Look, <br />McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. <br />7.08: Consider Adoption of Resolution #10- 09 -XXX to Amend Agreement No. 89336, a <br />Joint Powers Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the <br />City of Anoka, the City of Ramsey, and the City of Nowthen (formerly Burns <br />Township) for Professional and Technical Services <br />Public Works Director Olson reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember Elvig stated he wanted to elevate the urgency in this dangerous roadway system. <br />He indicated he had not seen anything on this project from MnDOT or the City of Anoka and he <br />wanted this fixed now. He recommended this be brought back to worksession for further <br />discussion. <br />It was Council's consensus to move this to a future Council worksession. <br />8. • MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />a. Farmers Market — Thursday, September 16 — 3:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. at Rhinestone <br />Commons Park, just west of PACT Charter School <br />b. Live Music by The Bill and Tom Show — Thursday; September 16 — 6:00 p.m. — 8:00 <br />p.m. at the Amphitheater at The Draw Park, corner of Rhinestone and Ramsey Parkway, <br />sponsored by Trott Brook Financial, Food and Beverages available by Acapulco Mexican <br />Restaurant <br />c. Teen Dance — Friday, September 17 — 6:30 p.m. — 9:00 p.m. - PACT Charter School, <br />7250 East Ramsey Parkway - $3.00 Admission — Grades 5 -8 only <br />d. Happy Days Festivities begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue through 11 p.m. on Saturday, <br />September 18 — Flyers are available with a list of events, times and locations <br />e. Councilmember Dehen asked if the City could get ahead of treatment facilities that were <br />coming into the City. City Attorney Goodrich noted there was State Statutes that took <br />precedence over City zoning and therefore control for the local community had been <br />taken away.
