COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Consider Resolution for Agreement for Outdoor Display of Modular Homes and <br />Modular Office Buildings for Sale at 7820 Riverdale Drive NW; Case of Autumn <br />Leaf Home Builders, Inc. <br />Associate Planner Gladhill reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember Dehen questioned whether someone could purchase one of these modular homes <br />and put it on a residential property subject to a foundation and size requirement. <br />Associate Planner Gladhill confirmed that as long as the modular home met underlying zoning <br />regulations, it could be put on a residential property. Specifically, Minnesota State Building <br />Code criteria would need to be met in order for the modular home to be located on a residential <br />parcel within the city. <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that many high end homes are constructed off -site and are brought <br />in and constructed at the home site, and he is wondering how the proposed homes are different. <br />City Council / August 9, 2010 <br />Page 4 of 13 <br />
