This reduced amount would entail the same work as option 1, but would remove their profit margin. 3. Agree to pay them $10,625.46, for work completed to date, at which point we would have to complete the project on our own. This item was discussed by the Public Works Committee on October 19, 2010, and it was their recommendation to pay the consultant what was due, $10,625.46, and prepare a Request for Proposals (RFP) to complete the existing plan to construction documents, including the infrastructure improvements that are determined as a result of the feasibility study currently underway for the Legacy Christian Academy project. Typically Council entertains the items advanced by the Public Works Committee at the first regular meeting the month following the Committee meeting (November 9, 2010), but due to the tight timeline for completion and advancement of this project staff is requesting Council to review this matter and provide direction at this time. Funding Source: Drafting, distribution, and review of the RFP will be conducted by City staff. Implementation of this project is part of the Ramsey Town Center Regional Roadway Improvements and was included in the CIP, with GO Bonding identified as the funding source. These improvements are now included in the Town Center dashboard with reimbursements to come from future land sales, and now potentially TIF. Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends authorization to prepare and distribute an RFP for engineering services to complete the final plans and specifications for Improvement Project #06 -20, and incorporate any improvements that come about as part of the on -going feasibility study for the Legacy Christian Academy.
