General Residential Performance Standards a. Parking The surfaces of parking stalls, aisles, and access driveways shall be constructed with blackiop or concrete and properly maintained. Proper maintenance includes keeping the blacMop or concrete in good condition and free from chuckholes and other types of surface cracks and breakage. One parking stall shall not be less than 180 square feet in area, with minimum width of nine (9) feet. b. Driveways and Access Roads Residential developments in this district must provide one main thoroughfare through the development and main thoroughfares must be dedicated as public streets. Private streets or driveway collectors are permitted they serve as access driveways from dwelling units to public streets and meet the required standards. ~1 access roadways must meet standard street specification as outlined in Section 9.50.30 of the City code such as the stren~h of pavement and vertical and horizontal alignment with the following exceptions: (a) Minimum Private street width with no parldng permitted: 24 feet (b) Minimum private street width with parking permitted on one side of street: 28 feet © Minimum private street width with parking permitted without restriction: 32 feet (d) Maximum private street length without a turnaround provided: 200 feet (e) Maximum private street length with a turning provision provided: 300 feet (f) Maximum private street length with a cul-de-sac provided: 600 feet* * Note: When exceeding 300 feet, the entire length of the private street under consideration must be constructed 32 feet wide.
