Councilmember Hendriksen aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #6: Report from Public Works Committee <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee met on April 16, 2002 and discussed the following cases: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />B & B Carpet <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that the City Council authorize the <br />expenditure of $22,794 to B & B Carpet to' assist them in the relocation of their Highway <br />#10 access. This expenditure would be made from the Public Improvement Revolving <br />Fund not the general fund as the case suggested. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Summary for 2001-2002 Snow Removal Season <br /> <br />Street Supervisor Grant Reimer made a presentation summarizing the Public Works <br />operations through the 2001-2002 snow removal season. There was no action required. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Consider Potential Alignment of 167it' Avenue <br />The Public Works Committee expressed a preference for the northerly alignment and <br />directed staff to prepare necessary measures to modify the transportation map consistent <br />with the northerly route. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Presentation of Wellhead Protection Measures for the City Wells <br />Staff made a presentation on the States Wellhead Protection Program, which is being <br />administered by the Minnesota Department of Public Health. There was no action <br />required. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Presentation of the City's Street Lighting System <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that a second priority light be placed at the <br />southeast comer of the intersection of Armstrong Boulevard and Alpine Drive and <br />contact the owner in regards to the private security light near the intersection and <br />requesting that they abandon it. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Kurak, Anderson, <br />and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />The iPersonnel Cormnittee met on April 23, 2002 to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />City Council/April 23, 2002 <br />Page 13 of 16 <br /> <br />29 <br /> <br /> <br />
