C
The 2011 Parks Capital Improvement Schedule will be emailed to the Commissioners for review
and comments.
The City secured $28,000 of State Health Impact Program money, and the detailed work plan
will get us $5,000 for canoes at Sunfish Lake Park, however, the Finance Committee would like
a security camera system installed there.
Commissioner Bennett commented that he would speak with a consultant that he knows to
possibly consult at no cost, for a good solution to tie into the City website for parents to watch
their child live while at the skate park. He could also possibly negotiate with Target to donate a
camera for a project like this.
Sweet Bay Boardwalk project will be 1,700 plus feet.
An email was sent to the Commissioners earlier in the day relating to The Mississippi River Trail
and Parks Supervisor Riverblood explained that it was Council's consensus for staff to
aggressively pursue the staff's recommendation — to receive Council concurrence, so as to allow
staff to explore several initiatives to reverse the direction of the MnDOT MRT planning process
to ensure that Ramsey remains literally on the MRT map.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Commissioner Olsen, seconded by Commissioner Fyten to adjourn the meeting.
Motion carried.
The Park and Recreation Commission meeting adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Mark Riverblood
Parks Supervisor
Drafted by Mary Jo Warner
City of Ramsey Public Works Secretary
Park and Recreation Commission /September 9, 2010
Page 3 of 3
