Council Member, introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRE OF AN <br />ACCOUNTANTI <br />and WHEREAS, the City's former Assistant Finance Officer resigned in August 2010; <br />WHEREAS, on August 24, 2010 the City Council adopted a resolution authorizing <br />staff to restructure the Finance Department and to begin a recruitment process to fill the <br />Accountant I position; and <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and Ms. Cindy Nelson has been <br />selected for the position; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Nelson has successfully completed the required pre-employment <br />checks. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to authorize the hire of Ms. Cindy <br />Nelson for.the Accountant I position with a start date on or near November 29, 2010 at a step <br />1 of the wage scale which is $20.78 per hour. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 9th day of November 2010. <br />
