I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CASE # <br /> <br />REPORT FROM PUBLIC WORKS <br /> By: Public Works Staff <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee met on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 and discussed the <br />following five cases: <br /> <br />Case # 1 B & B Carpet <br /> <br />A mutually accepted agreement was reached between the City of Ramsey, Ramsey <br />Professional Building and B&B Carpet. After discussions, a motion was made to <br />recommend that City Council authorize the expenditure of $22,794 to B&B Carpet to <br />assist them in the relocation of their Highway 10 access. This expenditure would be <br />made form the Public Improvement Revolving Fund not the general fund as the case <br />suggested. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Ratify recommendation of the Committee <br /> <br />Case #2 <br /> <br />Summary for 2001-2002 Snow Removal Season <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Street superintendent made a presentation summarizing the Public Works operations <br />through the 2001-2002 snow removal season. He presented information regarding the <br />numbers of full scale plowing and sanding operations along with salt and sand use <br />amounts, complaints received, and the condition of the City equipment. The Committee <br />received the information and asked questions. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />None required <br /> <br />Case #3 Consider Potential Alignment of 167th Avenue <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff was directed to investigate possible alignments for the extension of 167th Avenue <br />between CSAH 5 and CR 83. Presently the City's Comprehensive Transportation Plan <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />-169- <br /> <br /> <br />
