Police Chief Gustafson replied that the license would be transferred, but all new applicants have to apply for the license and all owners would have to go through background checks and show they are eligible. Councilmember Kurak inquired if all liquor licenses were renewed at the same time. Police Chief Gustafson replied yes, noting that they all renew in July. Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to approve an on- sale and Sunday intoxicating liquor license application for Fairways on the Rum, Inc., d/b/a McDuff's Eatery & Pub. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Hendriksen, Anderson, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Case #2: Report from Public Works Committee The Public Works Committee met on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 and discussed the following cases: 1) Water System Update The Public Works Committee recommended that the City Council direct Bolten & Menk to prepare a proposal to update the water supply plan and to include the financial options available to fund a Iron and Manganese treatment plant. Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by CounCilmember Kurak, to ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Kurak, Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. 2) Right of Way Ordinance Fees The Public Works Committee recommended that the City Attorney review the policy, particularly the determination of the time period for release of the bond, and a determination of whether there would be any liability exposure from item 4.
