Olson, Principal City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On March 26, 2002, the City Council ratified the direction of the Public Works Committee to <br />prepare a change order to Improvement Project 99-52 that would change the scope of the <br />Sunwood Drive connection to the intersection of County Road 116 and Sunwood Drive NW by <br />adding left and right turn lanes in each direction. The cost was estimated at approximately <br />$120,000 due to the work within the County right of way. Utilizing the Contract unit prices and <br />negotiating with the Contractor for the remaining items, Staff is requesting that Change Order <br />No. 1 be authorized for $60,062.50. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is staff's recommendation to enter into a Change Order to authorize LaTour Construction to <br />construct left and right turn lanes on the intersection of Sunwood Drive NW and County Road <br />116 for $60,062.50. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to approve RESOLUTION to authorize Change Order No.1 to Latour Construction, Inc. <br />for Improvement Project #99-52 (Sunwood Drive N.W.
