-254- <br /> <br />Councihnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION # 02-1I-xxxx <br /> <br /> AUTHORIZATION TO RECRUIT FULL-TIME POLICE SERGEANT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the resignation of Police Chief David Gustafson was effective <br />November 4th 2002;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sergeant James Way was appointed to the position of Interim Police <br />Chief effective November 5th 2002;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, creating a vacancy in the Police Department for the position of <br />Sergeant; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff will conduct the internal recruitment for a full-time Police <br />Sergeant-in full accordance of City policies and procedures. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br /> Personnel Connnittee to recruit for the position of full time Police Sergeant. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 12th day of November 2002. <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I, <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
