I believe my current skills and abilities would be an asset to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the city. I currently work as a department manager for a very large international corporation. In over 10 years of managing people I have developed many valuable skills that I fmd helpful everyday. My ability to work well with'people, participate effectively in meetings, stay organized and on task, and the ability to listen to people are some of the strengths I would bring to the commission. I would also bring solid leadership skills. In my worklife I have to set and achieve departmental goals and objectives, manage budgets, and accePt accoumability for the results. On numerous occasions I have lead teams and projects with proven success. It is also an interest in community service and volunteerism that really drives my application for this public service position. I dedicated many years to the United States Jaycees in varying capacities including Chapter President. I also volunteer my time helping coach wrestling to over 90 young kids and devote time to volunteer at my church.
